Brighton Based Band TINY DRAGONS are coming to Slough giving Vocalist Lizzie Massey her first hometown gig since she left Slough.
Formed in Brighton in 2010, Tiny Dragons are taking audiences by storm with their heart stopping live performance and mammoth sound, that many would say is anything but tiny!
Having toured the UK and played shows in Europe, their distinctive sound is generating quite a buzz.
Fronted by Lizzie, who is captivating audiences with her stunning soulful voice that juxtaposes perfectly against her driving bass and the cinematic guitar tones.
We cant wait to have Lizzie play at the Orchard again. TINY DRAGONS – Don’t Miss Them!!
Mercia, consists of Simone on vocals and guitar and Dan on drums and percussion surrounding themselves with various other talented musicians their sound is emotive and complex. Whilst their core sound is acoustic it cannot be classified as of the acoustic genre – it is unique in its unpredictability – veering from pain filled ballads to punchy, raw rock numbers. It is of the moment. They are true musicians who are dedicated to producing accessible and melodic music where lyrics are essential to audience engagement. They tell the story of their generation through their own experiences.
With Dan and Simone both being very active members of SWIPE over the years we are especially looking forward to them returning from London to play in their home town.
WILSON seem to have an effortless talent for creating addictive songs, with riffs, melodies and instrumental solos that circulate through your mind for days after just a single exposure, there’s also an edge to lyrics that have been torn from their lives. They take their influences from many sources, with bands such as the Foo Fighters, Muse, Nirvana and Porcupine Tree often cited.
All 3 Band Members are from Slough Brothers Ross and Owen Wilson and long time friend Graham Henderson formed the band in 2008.
Ross will tell you the band name is an amalgamation of the band members using the Wil from Wilson as the first half and the son from henderson to make the one word WILSON!
INFERENCE are a new local band which was formed in it’s early stages by Thea Swan. Joe Alexander was the first member to join due to his guitar playing credentials. Bassist Tyler J. Their influences are Paramore, You Me at Six, Foo Fighters, KISS, The Wombats, The Pigeon Detectives, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Deaf Havana, Tonight Alive, Young Guns.
We look forward to hearing them at THE PLATFORM!
